Our method

GLP-1 method

We use drugs from the GLP-1 agonist class. GLP means glucagon-like peptide and is an incretin. Incretins are hormones that occur naturally in the gut. During eating, these hormones stimulate the pancreas to release insulin. The incretin hormone GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) ensures that your appetite decreases and you feel satisfied for a longer period of time

It mimics the effect of the GLP-1 hormone and thus enhances the overall GLP-1 effect. This makes it easier to eat less and you feel satisfied for a longer period of time. So far it has mainly been used for people who have type 2 diabetes. It is also available as a medication for the treatment of obesity.

How much weight you lose partly depends on your lifestyle. On average, participants in the study below lost about 8-12% of their body weight in a period of 6 months*. Another recent study shows an average weight loss of around 15% after 68 weeks**.

Our program

You come to the clinic for an initial extensive consultation. We will then see you every month for a follow-up consultation.

Your medical history / blood test

We examine your blood for glucose levels, liver function, kidney function, pancreas function, fats (LDL/HDL/triglycerides), thyroid function and inflammation. We repeat this blood test several times during the treatment. This allows us to see whether your glucose and fat values ​​have improved by following our GLP-1 method.

Personal exercise and nutrition plan

An unhealthy lifestyle is the most common cause of overweight or obesity, often in combination with psychological, medicinal and/or hormonal causes. For a sustainable result, it is important to gain more control over a healthy lifestyle. That is why everyone receives a personal exercise and nutrition plan. You determine this together with our lifestyle coach using a questionnaire and a 30-minute online consultation. During each follow-up consultation, we check whether you can achieve your goals and how we can help you if things don't go entirely according to plan.

Administration of medication

You will receive an explanation of how to administer the medication. With each follow-up consultation you will receive a new personal dosing schedule to ensure that you lose sufficient weight with as few side effects as possible.

body analysis

We measure your body composition every 4 weeks with a Tanita© body analyzer. Body composition is the percentage of bone, fat, water and muscle in your body. As you lose weight you will see that your body composition also improves; your weight becomes healthier.
